The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has officially been ousted as the world’s fastest production car by the Guinness Book of World Records. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport was named the world’s fastest production car by Guinness in 2010 after it posted a top speed of 267.8mph on Volkswagen’s test track in Wolfsburg, Germany. However, it has been revealed that Bugatti engineers deactivated the car’s speed limiter for the run, which usually caps the Veyron Super Sport’s top end to 258mph.
